This class is perfect for people who have never taken a yoga class, folks whose past experience with yoga wasn’t all that positive, people recovering from an injury, and those with previous yoga experience who want to review the fundamentals of yoga poses. If you are already taking classes at One Center but would like to add a beginner level class to your practice, you can take this class at the drop-in rate or use your package or membership. All are welcome!

More about Leslie:

Leslie Temme began practicing Iyengar yoga in 2002 and quickly discovered its benefits, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She became a dedicated student while living in New York, often traveling to study at the Iyengar Institute in NYC. Since moving to Asheville in 2011, Leslie has deepened her practice, thanks to her teacher and mentor, Cindy Dollar.

“As a new teacher and a dedicated student myself, I am committed to making sure my students understand my instructions so they can more fully experience the benefits of each pose and minimize injury.”

As a teacher, Leslie is engaging and knowledgeable. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Cindy in 2016 and assisted Cindy in her Slow & Mindful Iyengar Yoga class to enhance her own teaching skills. She continues to deepen her understanding of yoga, the sutras, and yoga philosophy.

As a social worker and educator, Leslie strives to embody what yoga has taught her and infuse this learning in her work with clients and students.
