Twists and Backbends are two of the most beneficial categories of yoga poses for the spine. They relieve tension in the spine as well as upper back, shoulders and hips. They also increase mobility in the spine, too, which has an anti-aging benefit.
But how often have you felt stuck, jammed or restricted in your twists and backbends? Do you think of yourself as someone who “just can’t twist very far” or who “can’t go too deep in backbends” either due to low back discomfort, overly tight muscles, or a lack of flexibility in your spine?
That’s where the Great Yoga Wall™ comes in.
Through the use of traction, this incredible yoga tool helps you release the muscles around the spine, bringing greater mobility when we twist. We’ll use the wall to traction and decompress the spine, making back extensions deeper and more accessible than ever before.
