Randy Loftis has come home to North Carolina. Full of wanderlust as a young man, Randy left North Carolina in 1988 to head west, making maps for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a soil scientist.
He spent the past 15 years in California, where he found yoga, and, soon after, realized his desire to teach. He spent many years studying with Senior Iyengar instructors in San Francisco. He is a graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco’s (IYISF) Teacher Training Program and is a Certified Iyengar Teacher. He taught yoga while living in Lake Tahoe and eventually moved to San Francisco to deepen his studies and teach weekly classes at IYISF. Living in San Francisco afforded him the opportunity to take weekly classes with teachers Kathy Alef and Manouso Manos. Randy served on the board of directors at IYISF and the Iyengar Yoga Association of Northern California, most recently serving as board president for these organizations.
Now as opportunity arises, Randy has moved back to North Carolina with his wife Greta Kent-Stoll, an Ayurvedic practitioner. Randy is excited about teaching Iyengar yoga at One Center Yoga and being part of the Asheville yoga community.
