An Iyengar Yoga Weekend Workshop
with Victoria Austin

Building Awareness of Body & Mind. Shosan Victoria Austin has been practicing and teaching both yoga and Zen Buddhism for decades. She currently holds a Senior Intermediate certification in Iyengar yoga and serves as an assessor of the next generation of Iyengar yoga teachers. Victoria has done personal study with B.K.S. Iyengar, and continues her studies with the Iyengar family in India and with Manouso Manos in the U.S.

Entrusted as a Dharma heir in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, an international priest of the Soto School, she teaches Zen Buddhism at San Francisco Zen Center.

Victoria believes in teaching only what she personally understands and has practiced for a long time. She brings a tested sense of yoga as a meditative awareness practice, which is especially suitable for building emotional stability in students who wish to practice with their individual obstacles, therapeutic issues, and life situations. She further explains: “My teaching goals include transmitting Zen Buddhism as a yogic path and Yoga as a path of awareness.”

*If you are not a Level II student, you can attend the Sunday 10am class with permission from your teacher.
